Donald Tishman, the managing partner of Renaissance Development Group, L.L.C. has been active in real estate development for over 40 years in more than 35 major metropolitan areas throughout the United States. His companies have been involved in more than a billion dollars of development. Mr. Tishman’s companies have extensively developed shopping centers, office buildings, multi family development and industrial parks. Many of these developments have won architectural and planning awards.
Mr. Tishman is currently the Director of the Real Estate Development Center at the University of New Mexico where Professor Tishman has been teaching a graduate seminar on real estate development since 1991.
Edward Gilbert is the managing partner of BGK, a privately held real estate development company. BGK is the largest shareholder of Renaissance Development Group, the developer of Juban Parc. BGK owns and operates real estate developments in 27 states, including developments in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Shreveport and Lafayette. These developments have a current market value in excess of $2,000,000,000. BGK has six primary operating entities and its primary holdings are large and medium size office buildings. Until recently BGK owned the largest office building in the Baton Rouge area, One American Place.
